The Battle Creek Bombers are looking for host parent/families in the Calhoun County area for the 2008 baseball season. This summer, approximately 30 young men will move to Battle Creek to play for the Bombers, a member of the country’s most prestigious summer collegiate baseball league, the Northwoods League.

From late May through Mid-August, these aspiring “professional” ballplayers have the opportunity to hone their baseball skills playing 68 games in 74 days. Players come from all over the United States to participate in the Northwoods League and play for the Battle Creek Bombers.

The Host Family Program has been a vital part of the Northwoods League’s success the past 14 years, both on and off the field. Many of the players become more than just a houseguest, they become part of the family!!
