Rick Lindau
General Manager

Rick begins his fifth season in the Northwoods League and second as General Manager of the Bombers. In this position, Rick’s responsibilities include overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Bombers, coordinating all sales and marketing efforts for the 2nd year club, and supervisory responsibilities of all staff and seasonal employees. Prior to his arrival in Battle Creek, Rick served as the Northwoods League Director of Operations for three years. His baseball background dates back to his 7-year tenure working in the Florida State League, including three years under current NWL President Dick Radatz, Jr. in Winter Haven, FL for the Boston Red Sox Class A affiliate. Rick is a graduate of Florida Southern College in Lakeland, FL with a B.S. degree in Business Administration and Sports Management. Rick, wife Alanna and son Carson (3) reside in Battle Creek.

   


Nate Mueske

Assistant General Manager

Nate enters the 2008 season as the Bombers Assistant General Manager. In his role, Nate will assist in the team’s marketing, corporate/season ticket/group sales, game day operations and promotions in the team’s second season in addition to overseeing stadium operations and community affairs. Nate graduated from the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse in May 2008 with a degree in Sports Management and a minor in Business Administration. This is Nate’s second season with the Bombers, as he was a Stadium Operations Intern in the summer of 2007. 

   

Alyssa Starkey

Ticket Sales Intern

Alyssa joined the Battle Creek Bombers in May 2008 as a ticket sales intern.  Her main duties include operation of the Bombers ticket office and assisting in other business related aspects of the Bombers.  Before joining the Bombers, Alyssa finished her sophomore year at the University of Detroit Mercy.  She will graduate with a degree in Business Administration with a certificate in French in April 2010.

   

Emily Potratz

Promotions Intern
Emily joined the Battle Creek Bombers in May 2008 as a promotions intern. Her main duties are on-field promotions, gift shop, and assisting in other business related aspects of the Bombers. Prior to her internship, Emily attended Michigan State University in East Lansing. She graduated in May 2008 with a B.A. degree in Communication and Public Relations.
   

Chris Balmert

Media Relations Intern

Chris joins the Battle Creek Bombers this season as a media relations intern.  His responsibilities consist of team statistics, writing press releases, coordinating all press box activities, and acting as the liaison between local media, team and other Northwoods League media relations personnel.  Chris played four years of baseball at Notre Dame College in South Euclid, Ohio, where he will graduate in the fall with a degree in Sports Management.

   

Jake Martin

Stadium Operations Intern
Jake joins the Battle Creek Bombers this season as a stadium operations intern.  His responsibilities consist of day-to-day stadium operations, concessions, and assisting the other business related aspects of the Bombers.  Jake’s knowledge and love for the game of baseball will be an asset to the Bombers.  He played four years on the Aquinas College baseball team. Jake will graduate from Aquinas College in August 2008 with a degree in Recreation Management.
   

Bob Lowman

Community Relations Manager
Bob is in his second season as a volunteer.  He is a retired school administrator who is a long time fan of baseball.  Bob was a pitcher at Western Michigan University in the late 1950’s and coached at Paw Paw High School in the early 1960’s.  He resides in Marshall.
   
Danielle Willsie, MS, ATC has been a certified athletic trainer since June 2005. This is her first year with Bombers. She worked for two years at Louisburg College (NC) before returning to Albion College in the Fall of 2007 to become the assistant athletic trainer. A 2001 graduate of Albion College with a BA in Chemistry, she completed her MS in Athletic Training at Seton Hall University (NJ) in 2005. Danielle is a native of Midland, MI.
   

Bonnie Conant

Host Family Coordinator

Bonnie is in her first season as the Bombers Host family coordinator. A member of the team’s Booster Club for both the minor league and collegiate teams for eight years, Bonnie served as President of the Club for five years. She has held the position of Athens Village Clerk for the past 32 years. Bonnie and her husband of 45 years, Norman, are in their second year of hosting a Battle Creek Bombers player. The couple has two daughters and five grandchildren.
